On the first day of the Kapat opening of Yamunotri Ji and Gangotri Ji, there has been a slight increase in the footfall. About 3,000 devotees from 12 states visited Yamunotri on the first day while another 3,000 took the trip to Gangotri. The Uttarakhand government is now registering and keeping a tab on the number of people visiting the shrines. Fifty-five foreign tourists also visited the shrine on the first day.

The Kapat for the other two Religious Temples - Shri Kedarnath Ji and Shri Badrinath Ji - will be opened on April 24 and April 26 respectively. Kedarnath and Badrinath will remain closed during winters from October to March as the two shrines are situated at higher altitudes and cold conditions are extreme in the region.

CM of Uttarakhand informed that this Year Biometric Registration is Compulsory for Every Pilgrims & Medical Check for Kedarnath Yatra is Compulsory. If any Pilgrims is found not fit then they will treat by doctor & when you fit for Yatra Then you will proceed for Kedarnath Yatra. This year you have to Trek 15 KM to reach Shri Kedarnath Ji – Horses, Doli, Pony & Helicopter Service is Available.  In Shri Kedarnath Ji, All the Accommodation & Meal Facility will be provided in Subsidies Rates to Pilgrims. In Kedarnath Govt. Make Accommodation for 1000 Pilgrims for Night Stay & Accommodation for 1500 Pilgrims for Night Stay in Linchauli.

As Per our Official Pre Visit of Char Dham Yatra informs that the condition of roads is far better that what it was last year, they added. Pawar said that in view of intermittent rains, JCB machines have been sent to landslide-prone areas so that roads could be reopened quickly following any such incidents. The preparation of Govt. for Chardham Yatra is Almost Completed. The Yatra is Much Safer than 2014, Now Pilgrims Can Visit Char Dham Yatra 2015.
