Preparations are on for Winter Tourism in Kedarnath this year. Initiated by Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM), a group of 50 people will go to Kedarnath. This group of youths from Dehradun will trek from Kedarnath to Chaumasi. In winters, every year, there is a silence in Kedarnath. Keeping this in mind, this time NIM initiated winter tourism in Kedarnath. For this, a group of 50 people from educational and social institutes of Dehradun will go to Kedarnath on first week of November.
